A Few Things to Know

We've gathered answers to the most common questions about this journey. If you have more questions, we're always here to help.

Yes. Stromboli is one of the most active volcanoes in Europe, with small eruptions every 15-20 minutes. Anchoring offshore at night provides a dramatic view of the lava flows — a highlight of any Aeolian sailing week.

There are seven main Aeolian Islands: Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Stromboli, Panarea, Filicudi, and Alicudi. Each has a distinct character, from Panarea's boutique atmosphere to Salina's wine terraces.

June and September offer warm weather and fewer crowds. July and August are peak season with higher temperatures and busier anchorages. The volcano is visible year-round, but clearest at night in calm conditions.
